Moss Nook

Moss Nook is about nine miles south of the city centre. Its east close to Manchester airport and the Cheshire suburbs and countryside. There's good access to the motorway network. See rehousing area map (pdf).

Living in Moss Nook

Moss Nook is very close to Wythenshawe civic shopping centre, with its food hall and market. The centre also includes the Wythenshawe Forum - a modern building at the heart of community life. State-of-the-art indoor leisure facilities include a swimming pool, gym, sports hall and fitness centre. There's a health centre, children's nursery, and job centre too.

There are regular buses to the city centre, and job opportunities at the rapidly-developing airport, with 250 companies based there. As the airport expands it offers other employment in construction and hotels.

The planned extension to the Metrolink tram system would bring speedy trams to the city centre, the airport and other areas.

There is open farmland and country walks towards the historic Cheshire village of Styal.
