Living in Newton Heath

Most homes are within walking distance of Oldham Road where theres a variety of shops, supermarkets and a local precinct. Other good shops are just a short bus ride away in Failsworth, and there are frequent buses down Oldham Road to the vibrant city centre, with its shopping, leisure and entertainment.

Theres a train station at Dean Lane (just over Oldham Road) with regular trains to Manchester and Oldham. An extension to the Metrolink system will soon bring fast and frequent trams to the area with a direct line between Rochdale and the city centre.

It's only a mile from the centre of Newton Heath to the City of Manchester stadium and the other sporting and recreational facilities of Sportcity.
